Saint-Émilion is recognised around the world for its terroir and culture. Vineyards are an integral part of Saint-Émilion’s viticultural landscape and are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the first in the world to have received this title. This is something Saint-Émilion is especially proud of. It is the result of the work of previous generations of vine-growers who, through their dedication, have carefully shaped the local landscape.
The Grand Cru Classé or Classified Growth represents the elite of Saint-Émilion while being its most illustrious ambassador.
