Leading Argentinian wine producer Bodega Argento launched Artesano de Argento, a new brand of high-quality organic and Fairtrade Argentinian wines at the beginning of 2020. Artesano (which means Artisan in English) de Argento pays homage to the traditions of silver and leather handcrafting from Argentina. The same respect for tradition, care and craftsmanship defines its organic winemaking philosophy. Artesano de Argento’s grapes come from Bodega Argento’s beautiful organic vineyards in Alto Agrelo, nestled at the foot of the Andes in Argentina’s winegrowing heartland Mendoza. The first UK release, the organic and Fairtrade-certified Artesano de Argento Malbec-Cabernet Franc 2018 launched at Sainsbury’s in January 2020.
